Okay, I know I am supposed to be on a hiatus BUT this really cannot wait a couple weeks to get out to the world so I decided to break my own rule, return to my blog, and seek out your support.
A few years back I had the privilege of meeting a wonderful family. At the time the kids (Sharvahn, Rojevahn, Dersim and Meitan) were, obviously, a few years younger and the youngest, Meitan, was just months old. Each of them captured my heart in their own unique way but mostly through their not-so-innocent we know we are cute so please play with us smiles.
Monday February 15th, 2016 will mark the 6 month, YES 6 MONTHS, anniversary of their kidnapping. Their mother has and is working tirelessly to bring her children home, knowing they are located somewhere in Kurdistan.
I have hope, faith, that these children will return to their mother and that they will get to sleep in their own beds. That their friends will rejoice and celebrate their return at the airport, in the streets, at their homes, and in their classrooms. Their family, near and far, will sleep restful nights, unplug from social media and their telephones, and will cry the most joyous of tears upon the children’s return.
Please support Alison Azer during this process – take a moment to look through the Find Azer Kids Now website and join the cause on FaceBook. Your support will go further than you realize and maybe one of you will be the tipping point to bringing them home. These children deserve the comforts of their mother’s arms and their own beds, school, and friends just like each of us do!
